BLUE KITCHEN

Project of the kitchen for a newly built family house on the outskirts of Prague. Since the owners of the house love to travel and their favorite summer destination is Costa Blanca, I was not afraid to bet on the unusual shade of blue for the kitchen cabinets, reminiscent of cloudless sky and the mediterranean sea.
This light blue is combined with a white color on the linearly tiled walls and shelves. As complementary materials I used   solid oak for a worktops & spanish floor tiles with a traditional motif. This letter U  kitchen provides ample space for preparing food for even a big family. The room itself has lots of natural light from three sides and in addition, window sills provide plenty of space to grow their own herbs. The coziness of this interior is aided by ubiquitous plants, porcelain tableware and rustic accessories. The kitchen area freely transitions into a spacious dining/living room room throught a chest of drawers in the same blue color, for storing porcelain dishes and tableware.
